| Description: | This position is responsible for designing and creating sophisticated graphics, interactive widgets, and applications for multiple platforms - print, web and mobile. This person works with reporters, editors, and third-party sources as well as reports his/her own content for graphics, widgets and digital applications. |
| Duties: | Design and build contextual graphics and interactive widgets for print, web and mobile platforms.
Identify and execute opportunities to build permanent graphic enhancements to print and digital platforms for Tennessean/Tennessean.com readers and users.
Coordinate with others in the Information Center as well as report their own content for graphics and interactive applications.
Coordinate publication and promotion of his/her work with appropriate editors. |
| Qualifications: | College degree in design, communications or related field. Minimum of five years experience in design, including work in both print and digital platforms.
Advance knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required. Must maintain awareness and understanding of latest design tools, trends and standards for print and digital platforms, including mobile. |
