| Description: | The Tennessean is seeking a Digital Graphics Journalist to be responsible for proactively (and reactively wehn appropriate) reporting, researching, editing, designing and ultimately creating complete explanatory graphics for both print and digital platforms. The individual will collaborate with reporters, visual journalists and editors to create explanatory graphics, maps, charts or diagrams that visually tell stories or illustrate simple and complex concepts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of doing independent research, creating large info graphics for print and interactive graphics for web/tablet. This person's work will integrate with overall print and digital presentation strategies of The Tennessean and Gannett. |
| Qualifications: | Use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software is required. Knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS is a plus.
College degree in journalism or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
