| Description: | The Tennessean is seeking a news reporter who has experience as a beat reporter and has shown ability to report watchdog and enterprise stories. The ideal candidate also has investigative skills and knowledge. Skills in digital media (blogs, live reporting, video, social media) are a plus.

| Duties: | Gathering and writing news in a multi-platform Information Center for a metro newspaper. Working with editors to develop story ideas and presentation plans, including web, photo and graphic assignments. Meet standards on basic skills, including accuracy, fairness, credibility, ethics, math literacy, legal knowledge, mainstreaming, and working with photos and graphics. |
| Qualifications: | Degree in journalism or equivalent experience. Two years of covering a beat for a daily newspaper. Computer skills, research skills, interviewing skills, writing and communication skills. Passion for reporting and connecting with our audiences. |
