Account Executive Inside/Retail DNJ

|Salary Range:||$23,900-$33,300 Base +commission|

|Description:||To maximize revenue by developing new retail advertisers and upselling current retail customers through inbound and outbound sales calls. To support outside sales executive(s). Advise clients on marketing strategies, special sections, print, digital products, etc.|
|Duties:||1. Develop new business for retail through prospecting and targeted cold calls. Sell into core, digital and non-daily products, all special sections and segmented theme promotions. Receive inbound calls, make outbound calls, place ads for customers and upsell to generate revenue to meet and/or exceed sales goals.|
2. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to meet their business needs. Develop a detailed knowledge of accounts and their business to successfully fulfill their advertising needs.
3. Accurately process ad materials before deadline. Work with/through company personnel in Credit, Ad Services, Creative Services, and Billing to accomplish customer needs. Utilize other departments (i.e., Research, Creative) resources to maximize sales potential
4. Plan and organize daily sales activities. Follow up on all customer requests. Return phone calls promptly.
|Qualifications:||1. High school graduate or GED and equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience. Newspaper advertising sales experience a plus.|
2. Computer skills with basic working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet and database applications. Knowledge of fax machines, photocopier and calculator. Good organizational skills, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, written communication skills and good time management skills. Valid drivers license and proof of insurance.
